The Franklin County Career and Technology Center is the major educational resource for career and technical training for both high school students and adults for the I-81 corridor north from the MD state line to the greater Harrisburg area. Currently, over 700 secondary-aged students and 300 adult day and evening students attend classes at FCCTC in over 30 different concentrations. More

Act 114 of 2006 specifies that all applicants for employment with public and private schools including employees of independent contractors, but excluding employees who do not have direct contact with students undergo background checks. In addition, Act 114 extended the background check requirements to include student teacher candidates. As of April 1, 2007, the following three background checks are required:

  1. Pennsylvania State Police Request for Criminal Records Check (Act 34). Applies to individuals hired as of January 1, 1986.

Current Vacancies:

PART-TIME CLERICAL POSITIONS:

The Franklin County Career & Technology Center has two openings for part-time clerical help, approximately 25 hours per week. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, possess strong oral and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, established interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Must be able to manage multiple activities simultaneously with minimal supervision. Substitute Teachers:

Substitute teachers needed to work on an as needed basis in all career and technical disciplines. Two years of related work experience in the field and teaching experience is a plus. Proper clearances are required. Pay is $100/day.
