Students apply through their home school’s guidance departments with their specific counselor. Each school district will have their own specific dates for the application of classes for the upcoming school year. Students need to listen to home school announcements during the first semester of the school year to determine dates for application.
Generally, all sending schools have Career Center Representatives come to the school in October or November to provide a presentation to 9th graders on specific courses offerings and general information. Students may then sign up for a tour of the Franklin County Career and Technology Center during the October – December timeframe. The application process would proceed from this point. Check under the Important Dates section of this page for dates and times of visits to home schools.
REMEMBER: This process starts in the fall of the school year, so plan ahead if interested in applying to the school.
