The Medical Assisting Program focuses on both the clinical and administrative duties in the health care setting. Studies include anatomy and physiology, health insurance coding and billing, medical terminology and pharmacology. In addition, curriculum also includes clinical training in phlebotomy, medication administration and performing EKG’s. This program prepares students as professionals who are multi-skilled to enter the workforce in a medical assistant role or to pursue higher education after high school.

Recommended Academic Proficiency:

Three years of Science including Biology,Chemistry and Physics or Physical Science
• College Prep Math including Algebra I and II and Geometry

• Basic computer skills required
