This is a program provides a basic understanding of the engineering career field for students interested in pursuing a post-secondary degree in engineering.
This program utilizes a nationally recognized curriculum entitled “Project Lead the Way”. Students have the option of progression through a specified sequence of instruction; Principles of Engineering, Digital Electronics, Computer Integrated Manufacturing and Engineering Design in order to receive post-secondary credit. Self-directed project development is at the core of this program.

Program Requirements and Expectations

Students are expected to have good math skills.

Students should have a passing grade and good understanding of Algebra I with the intention of continuing higher level math classes (PLTW requirement).

Students are expected to have good writing skills to generate technical reports of their work on a project.

Students are expected to have good reading skills to self-study to complete the required work.

Students need to have a scientific calculator such as a Texas Instruments TI-36X.
