Workforce Development Program
The Workforce Development Program at Franklin County Career and Technology Center prepares 11th and 12th grade students for success after high school by focusing on career exploration, employability skills, and real-world experiences. Students develop essential workplace skills such as communication, professionalism, financial literacy, and workplace safety while identifying their strengths and career interests. Through hands-on learning opportunities like job shadowing, work-based learning experiences, and cooperative education, students gain valuable on-the-job experience and build confidence in professional settings. The program is individualized to support each student’s goals and may include opportunities to earn industry certifications, helping students transition successfully into the workforce or postsecondary education.
