Employment Opportunities

The Franklin County Career Tech is currently seeking Electrician Instructors for adult education classes. This is a Part-Time position.

Interested applicants must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience as an electrician in a residential, commercial, or industrial industry.

We offer the following Adult Education classes for electrical: 

Residential Electricity and Commercial Electricity

Pay rate starting at $35.00/hour depending on the student class counts.

Clearances/Background Checks

Pennsylvania School Law requires that all applicants for employment in public and private schools, employees of independent contractors seeking business with public and private schools, and student teacher candidates undergo background checks if they will have direct contact with students. In addition, employment history reviews must be completed for all applicants seeking employment.

The following three background checks are required:

  1. Pennsylvania State Police Request for Criminal Records Check – $22.00
  2. Department of Human Services Child Abuse History Clearance – $13.00
  3. Federal Criminal History Record Information (CHRI) – $23.85
